Bottlenosed Dolphins are abundant around Cape May. They may be sighted from May to October when the water temperature is in the mid-50's(°F) or warmer.

Dolphins belong to the order of Cetaceans just like a humpback or finback whale. Dolphins are whales too! They belong to a group of toothed whales which range in size from 5 feet to over 30 feet. Bottlenose dolphins can reach 10 feet in length and weigh up to a 1,000 pounds.
